Some people talk about determination. Others simply get up and prove what it means. Our very own Patryk from Hardcore Tattoo is definitely one of the latter.
At MMFN, we have the pleasure of working with some remarkable people. Fighters, coaches, business owners and individuals who inspire us through their actions rather than their words.
And today, I want to tell you about someone who is particularly close to the MMFN family.
Patryk from Hardcore Tattoo – our very own model, beta tester, friend and, most importantly, a man who simply refuses to give up.
Two Competitions, Two Medals
Patryk recently competed at the UKGCC UK Grapplers Buckinghamshire Open, taking part in both Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Gi and No-Gi competitions.
Two different disciplines, two different challenges, and two impressive results.
One gold medal and one bronze medal.
For anyone familiar with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, competing in both Gi and No-Gi requires versatility, technical knowledge and the ability to adapt to different styles of grappling.
But in Patryk’s case, these medals represent something much bigger than sporting achievement.
They represent determination, courage and an attitude towards life that I genuinely admire.
Behind Every Fighter Stands a Great Coach
Of course, we cannot talk about Patryk’s success without mentioning the man who has played such an important role in his BJJ journey.
Robert “Kola” Kolski, Patryk’s coach and mentor, deserves enormous credit for the hard work, guidance and dedication that have helped Patryk achieve these fantastic results.
Robert can be found at House of Fighters in Nottingham, where he shares his knowledge and experience with those looking to develop their Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills.
Behind every successful fighter, there is often a coach who believes in them, pushes them forward and helps them become better every day.
Congratulations to both Patryk and Robert. These medals are a fantastic achievement for the fighter and his coach alike!
More Than Just a Tattoo Artist
Many people know Patryk through his work at Hardcore Tattoo, where he has built a reputation as a talented tattoo artist.
I know him not only through his professional work but also as a friend and someone who has become part of the MMFN family.
He’s our model, our beta tester, and someone who is always willing to get involved when we come up with another crazy idea.
But there’s another side to Patryk’s story that makes his achievements even more remarkable.
Patryk is also fighting a serious illness.
And while that might be enough to make many people slow down, Patryk has chosen a different approach.
He keeps moving forward.
He works, trains, competes and refuses to allow the challenges in his life to define what he can or cannot achieve.
Nothing Gets Done by Itself
If I had to describe Patryk’s philosophy in one sentence, it would be something like this:
“Nothing gets done by itself. So I’ll get up, go out and do it. And nothing is going to stop me.”
That, to me, says more about the man than any medal ever could.
Because let’s be clear about something.
Winning a gold medal is an achievement.
Winning a bronze medal is an achievement.
But continuing to challenge yourself while dealing with serious personal difficulties?
That deserves an entirely different level of respect.
And Patryk demonstrates that determination not through motivational speeches or inspirational quotes, but through his everyday actions.
He simply gets on with it.
A Man Worth Following
We spend a lot of time in combat sports talking about champions, victories, titles and records.
And rightly so.
But sometimes the people who deserve our greatest respect aren’t necessarily those standing under the brightest lights.
Sometimes they’re the people who get up every morning, deal with whatever life throws at them and still find the strength to pursue their passions.
For me, Patryk is one of those people.
He’s an excellent tattoo artist, a dedicated BJJ competitor and, above all, someone I’m genuinely proud to call a friend.
His story reminds us that even when life makes things difficult, there may still be opportunities to achieve something extraordinary.
And occasionally, those achievements come with a gold medal around your neck.
Congratulations, Patryk!
From everyone at MMFN, congratulations on your fantastic performance at the UKGCC Buckinghamshire Open.
Gold and bronze. Two medals. One remarkable attitude.
Keep doing what you’re doing, mate.
And to everyone reading this, I have one simple recommendation.
Follow Patryk. Support his work. Check out HardcoreTattoo.
Not just because he’s a fantastic tattoo artist, but because he’s someone whose determination and attitude towards life deserve recognition.
Some people inspire others by telling them what they should do.
Patryk inspires people by showing them what’s possible.
And that, in my opinion, is worth more than gold.
MMFN – More Than Just Combat Sports.
